Reduce fees & inefficiency, double everyone's investment pot
Over the last 20 years within the Financial Services market, I have worked for some of the most successful FinTech providers, the largest asset manager in the world (BlackRock) and also one of the largest consultancies (KPMG).
I used to think that with my mathematical background (maths research degree from Cambridge & tutored by Prof. Stephen Hawking for a time!), all I cared about was improving the efficiency & effectiveness of the Wealth & Asset Management market. It was about the models, the logistics & the aesthetics. But then the people bit kicked in, and I realised it was more than just operations & technology.
The WAM market is designed for the players not the public - it's broken.
If we can remove a third of fees from the WAM machine (all the intermediaries etc), then the typical person-on-the-street will almost double the size of their pension pot.
A third less fees = Everybody in the UK has twice the savings pot for retirement
So, that's my motivation. I can take that unparalleled breadth and depth of experience in helping clients evolve their business models, taking the best of tech & people, to deliver the next successful generation of WAM 4.0 - a business designed with the clients as the priority.
